Finding Balance

Finding Balance began as a way to bring all of my recipes together in one place — simple, balanced meals designed for real life.

I'm not a nutritionist or chef, just someone who genuinely loves cooking, eating well and finding practical ways to make everyday food feel both nourishing and enjoyable.

Over the years I've found that balance matters more than perfection. Most of these recipes are high in protein, high in fibre and built around ingredients that are easy to return to again and again.

The approach

I think of these recipes as a flexible foundation rather than a strict plan.

Some people use them exactly as they are. Others add extra rice, bread, extra virgin olive oil or cheese depending on their appetite, goals or stage of life.

The aim is not perfection — just meals that help everyday eating feel simpler, calmer and more satisfying.

A few notes

  • Nutritional values are estimates based on ingredients entered into the NutraCheck app.
  • Recipes are designed mainly for one person unless otherwise stated.
  • US cup measurements are approximate and based on the original metric recipes.
  • Ingredients and brands can vary slightly between countries.

Pantry staples

Many recipes use simple ingredients I return to constantly: olive oil, lentils, chickpeas, eggs, yoghurt, herbs, lemons, feta, salmon, chicken, beans, spices and seasonal vegetables.

Thank you

Thank you so much for supporting Finding Balance and cooking these recipes in your own kitchens. I hope the app becomes somewhere you return to often for inspiration, ease and everyday meal ideas.
